Paperback Book Exchange

Just Keep Reading... pbe

As part of the Environmental Ed Committee, we are happy to continue the Paperback Book Exchange. Students are welcome to bring in paperback books they have finished reading (1st grade level and up) to exchange for other books! (Please no hardcover, magazines, coloring books or puzzle books.)

A student helper will come to the classroom on Wednesday, January 24th to collect the books and give out coupons for every book brought in. The students bring the coupons to lunch and redeem them for other books at tables set up on the stage.

Box Tops Competition

It's Contest time again! box

I hope you have been clipping those Box Tops and asking family, neighbors, and friends to collect for you. Let's see how many you can turn in! Another flyer either went home with your child this weekend or will come home next week. Make sure to ask them for it.

Classes are competing again to see who can bring in the most Box Tops per student. You may turn in your clipped Box Tops anytime now through February 16th. Please try to cut along the dotted lines of the box tops and turn them in either in a ziplock baggie or an envelope. Be sure to label the baggie or envelope with your child's teacher's name in order to give your child's class a chance to win the competition. Each student in the winning class will receive a coupon for a free scoop of ice cream at Culvers.

This is an easy way to earn money for our school. Check the items in your home now. Clip Box Tops from your favorite products and turn them in!! Looking Forward

Get involved in 2018-19! pta

There will be many open positions and committees for 2018-2019:
• President (or Co-Presidents)
• 1st VP Family Programs & Legislation
• Secretary
• Treasurer
• Membership
• Weekly Window/Communications
• SPARK Liaison
• Birthday Book Club
• Paperback Book Exchange
• Rec Nights
• School Supply Kits (actually needed now for spring ordering)
• and possibly more....
It is so important for the kids to see a parental presence in the school. Many of these committees can be co-chaired which makes it easier and more fun. Several can also be done at home, on your schedule! We encourage you to think about it, and reach out to one of us if you are interested. Deciding early makes for a much smoother transition as shadowing is a great training option (just saying...).
